The CEO and founder of Blood Donors Network, 2nd place winner at the Social Innovation Camp Asia held at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya, Malaysia last November 9-11, 2012. He is a Social Innovation Camp Asia fellow where he participated at the SICamp Asia immersion program held at the Eden Strategy Institute in Singapore last January 22 to February 01, 2013 to help further develop and enhance the business model of Blood Donors Network.
His project was also one of the winners at the Apps For Asia held at the Asian Development Bank last March 18, 2013. As among the winners, Blood Donors Network represented the Philippines in the recently concluded Asian Development Bank’s 46th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors held last May 2 to 5, 2013 in Delhi, India. The Apps For Asia was among the highlights of the said event that has showcased the top 3 apps from Australia, Korea, Malaysia, India, and the Philippines.
Aside from his advocacy project, Joel is also an international award-winner in media design industry, with 23 years of experience in post-production and broadcasting. Concurrently the Head of Media Design Group at ABS-CBN Global Limited, Faculty at CIIT College of Arts and Technology, Chief Innovation Officer at Sweven Publishing and Candidate for Master in Technology Management at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Joel is a regular blood donor for almost 11 years where he is a candidate for Ruby Award (23+ donations).
